Currently January

Yay, it's time for Farley's Currently for January!

Don't forget the rule of 3!  Visit 2 blogs before yours and 1 after and leave a comment.  I think it's a great way to learn about new blogs!

Listening:  My dog Molly loves to come and cuddle with me on the couch.  If I'm doing something somewhere else in the house, like doing a craft project on the floor in the living room or working on something on my craft table, she either needs to be right up in my business (aka on my lap!) or she doesn't know what to do with herself!  She must like me!

Loving:  We didn't get out of school until December 20, so we don't go back until January 7.  I am so glad we don't go back yet!  January 4 is an optional day, so we get paid for going in.  We have a short PD on vocabulary in the morning, and then our Principal is going to give us time to work in our rooms!  That's great, because I have copies to make.  Our copier was broken for the last week before Christmas, which was horrible!  And the other one is pretty much dead, so we had to use the one in the office.  Why in the world does the office have 2 new copiers while we have one new one that breaks all the time because 20+  teachers use it constantly, and one that is sooooooooo old that it jams constantly and leaves lines on your copies. :-(  I don't understand!  There are like 6 people in the office that get 2 new copiers.  Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it, except hope that our copier gets fixed soon!

Thinking:  I have a whole bunch of things to do before I go back to work!  I have ambitions!  I am making an ornament wreath out of the 75% off ornaments I bought at Target yesterday.  I got a new sewing machine so I want to play around with it a bit.  My mom and dad came like 2 months ago and put up new beaded board in my kitchen, and I need to caulk around it and paint it.  I also need to caulk around my bathtub (again!) and I bought weatherstripping caulk for the windows I should probably use.  I also have some cleaning and organizing I want to do.  Oh, and I also have things to do to get ready to go back to work!  I should probably get off the internet, huh?

Wanting:  My friend Shanon and her husband Adam came in to town on Friday night for a short visit.  They let everybody know they were coming Thursday, because apparently her husband is being deployed sooner than they thought.  He's in the Navy.  So we went out on Saturday to a few fabulous restaurants we have in this fair city, and then out for a friend's birthday that night.  Yesterday, we had to go to White Castle because it's Adam's favorite tradition when they come back home.  Apparently, there are no White Castle stores where they live.  So we had to go.  They left last night.  I hate when they leave!  But I'm sure she will be back at some point during his deployment.

Needing:  My skin is incredibly dry, and it's worse in the winter.  I swear, when my furnace finally craps out (it's oooooolllllddddd so that will probably be soon!), I am going to buy one with a built in humidifier.  I have a big crack on my foot that is right on the ball of my foot below my big toe.  It hurts!  I am so excited that I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow.  Pathetic.  Who gets excited to go see the dermatologist?

OLW:  I'm joining the bandwagon and using the word balance.  Apparently a lot of other people did too!  I spend entirely too much time at work.  The nights that I don't have class, it isn't uncommon for me to stay until 7 or 8 pm.  Fridays, sometimes I stay even later to get ready for the next week.  This is partially because I have to leave early 2 days a week to go to class, but I need to stop staying so late.  I also need to get out more.  I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go, but I would like to get out and meet more people.  I'm not going to meet anyone sitting at work or on my couch at home!

Happy 2013, everyone!  To ring in the new year, I'm having a 20% off sale in my TPT store today through Thursday.  I'm working on a few things to put in there, but I'm not sure when they'll be finished.  There's still not a whole lot in there, but I'm working on it!  Feel free to check it out!  I will definitely have a new freebie up sometime today, and I'll link up with Freebielicious.

We go back Thursday and Friday for PD, but the kiddos don't come back until Monday. We didn't get out until the 21st! Yikes! This break has gone by WAY to fast! =)

P.S. I don't see a place where I can follow your site (the one with google friend connect)... you need to get that so I can follow you! =)

    1. I can't find Google Friend Connect to add it to my blog! I've tried! Any ideas of where I can find it? :-(

Yeah, this break has been so fast! I spent the whole first week at my parents so I feel like I have no time left to do anything!

  2. Love your currently! I found you through the linky but can't find a spot to follow your adorable blog!

    1. Dry skin is awful! My hair has a little bit of static, mostly if I brush it a second time, but the skin is the worst. I am so over winter!

  4. Happy New Year! Just found your blog through Farley's Currently!
I agree that BALANCE is a must for 2013! I definitely need more of it!
